My Starter website package is $1,000 + GST for a one-page website, designed by me, styled to your logo, colours and fonts, with your words and photos added and your domain and hosting set up. It's usually live in about a week. Extra pages, content writing, ecommerce and more involved booking setups cost extra, and they're always quoted up front.
"Starter" can mean almost anything in web design, so here's exactly what mine includes, what it doesn't, and how to tell if it's the right fit for your business.
What a Starter website actually is
A Starter website is a single-page website built from one of my finished designs. You pick the design that suits your business, send me your logo, photos and the basics, and I tailor it to your brand.
It isn't a theme bought off a store, and it isn't a DIY kit you have to build yourself. Every design in the range was designed and built by me, and they're only available through Coco Creatives. On the site you'll find them under ready-made websites.
Right now the range includes designs made for Pilates, yoga and wellness studios, physios and allied health, wedding celebrants and florists, with more on the way. If you run a studio, it's worth a look at my page on websites for Pilates studios to see the kind of thing these designs are built to do.
What's included in the starter website package
Here's everything that comes with the $1,000 + GST package, straight from my pricing page:
- A single-page website
- Designed by a designer, not a template
- Styled to your logo, colours and fonts
- Your words and photos added
- A contact form and click-to-call
- Booking systems integration
- Mobile-friendly, with Google basics set up
- Domain and hosting set up
- Live in about a week
- The Website Prep Checklist, so you know what to gather before we start
You can pay it in one go, or in 2 payments of $500. The site is editable WordPress that you own outright, so you can have me make your updates or edit it yourself.
What isn't included (and what it costs instead)
Being clear about this is the whole point of a fixed price. These things sit outside the Starter package:
| Not included | What happens instead |
|---|---|
| Extra pages | Quoted up front before anything starts |
| Writing your words | Available as an add-on if you don't have copy ready |
| Online shops, payments and more involved bookings | Quoted to scope, as they take more setup and testing |
| A completely different layout | Small changes are fine; a whole new look means a custom website |
| Ongoing hosting and your domain renewal | A monthly fee, quoted up front |
| The Launch & Lead-Ready Bundle and Client Vault | Included with the Custom package |
A quick note on bookings, because it comes up a lot. Connecting your existing booking system, like a booking link or widget, is part of the package. Building online bookings, shops or payments from the ground up is a bigger job, so that gets its own quote.
On hosting: your site is editable WordPress, which needs a server, a database and updates, so hosting is an ongoing monthly cost. You can have me host and manage it, with your edits included, or have it set up with an external host and look after it yourself. I wrote about both options in website hosting explained.
How it works, week by week
The process is short because most of the design work is already done:
- Pick. Choose the design that suits your business. Not sure? We'll have a quick chat and I'll point you to the best fit.
- Send. Send me your logo, photos and the basics about your business.
- Tailor. I set it up with your colours, fonts, words and photos, connect your domain and booking or contact form, and send you a preview link.
- Launch. One round of tweaks, then your site goes live, usually within a week of receiving your content.
Content is what slows most websites down. The sooner your logo, photos and words arrive, the sooner you launch. My guide on what to prepare before building a website walks you through it.
Who a Starter website suits (and who it doesn't)
A Starter website is a great fit if:
- You need a professional site quickly, on a tighter budget
- One well-organised page covers what you do
- A proven layout suits your business
- You're replacing a DIY site you've been fighting with on weekends
It's probably not the right fit if you need several service pages, a blog, online sales or something that looks unmistakably yours from the ground up. That's what my Custom package is for, from $3,500 + GST. And if you're running ads to one offer, a landing page at $1,500 + GST is built for exactly that job, with matching ad creatives and tracking.
Starting small doesn't lock you in
Plenty of businesses start with a Starter website and go custom as they grow. When you're ready, your content, domain and hosting carry straight over, so the money you spend now isn't wasted later.
If you're a physio or allied health clinic, for example, you could start with a single page that gets your Book button and fees in front of patients, then add condition pages and practitioner profiles later. My page on websites for physiotherapists shows where that can lead.

Frequently asked questions
Is a $1,000 website just a template?
Not the kind you buy off a theme store. Every Starter design was designed and built by me and is only available through Coco Creatives, then tailored to your logo, colours, fonts, words and photos.
How fast will my Starter website be live?
Usually within a week of receiving your logo, photos and words. The biggest delay is almost always content, so having it ready speeds everything up.
Are there ongoing costs after the $1,000?
Yes: hosting and your domain renewal. I can host and manage it for one monthly fee that includes your edits, or set it up with an external host so you pay them directly. Either way, I quote it up front.
Can I add more pages later?
Yes. Extra pages are quoted up front, and you can upgrade to a custom website whenever you're ready, with your content, domain and hosting carried over.
Do you offer payment plans on the Starter package?
Yes. You can pay in 2 payments of $500, and every package on my pricing page has a payment plan.
The bottom line
A Starter website is the quickest, most affordable way to get a professionally designed site that's actually yours. You know the price, you know what's in it, and you know what costs extra before we start. If you're not sure whether one page is enough for your business, tell me what you do and I'll give you an honest answer.
