Who I am
This website, cococreatives.com.au, is run by Chloe, trading as Coco Creatives (ABN 63 225 315 626), in Sydney, New South Wales. When this policy says "I", "me" or "Coco Creatives", it means me. You can contact me about anything in this policy at chloe@cococreatives.com.au.
What I collect
Information you give me. When you send an enquiry through the form on this site, I collect:
- your first and last name
- your email address
- your phone number and business name, if you choose to include them
- which service you're interested in (website, branding or both)
- anything you write in the message field
If you email me directly or become a client, I'll also hold the information you share with me during the project, such as content, images and account details you provide for your website.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics to understand how people use it (see Analytics & cookies). This includes information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, and your approximate location (city or region). It isn't used to identify you personally.
I don't collect sensitive information, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
How I use it
I use your information to:
- reply to your enquiry and give you a quote
- plan, design, build and support your website or brand if we work together
- send invoices and keep business records
- understand how the site is used, so I can improve it
I won't add you to a mailing list, and I will never sell or rent your personal information.
Analytics & cookies
This site uses Google Analytics 4, which places cookies on your device to count visits and see how people move through the site. I also record when an enquiry is sent, so I know how many enquiries the site generates. Google processes this data on my behalf under its own privacy policy.
The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers to download them.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics entirely with Google's browser opt-out add-on. The site will still work normally.
Overseas storage
Some of the services above store data outside Australia, mainly in the United States. By using this site or sending an enquiry, you acknowledge that your information may be stored and processed overseas by these providers, who have their own privacy and security obligations.
Security & retention
I take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including using secure, password-protected accounts. No online service is completely secure, but I only use reputable providers.
I keep enquiries for as long as I need them to respond and follow up. If we work together, I keep project and business records for as long as the law requires (generally five years for tax records), then securely delete them.
Your choices & rights
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Just email chloe@cococreatives.com.au and I'll respond within 30 days. You don't have to give me your details to browse the site, and you can contact me by email instead of using the form.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, please contact me first at chloe@cococreatives.com.au and I'll do my best to sort it out. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time, for example if I start using a new service. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
