MM Projects
A new website for a small Sydney building company: two directors who are still on the tools, a Marrickville joinery workshop, and a portfolio of renovations and heritage work that deserved better than an Instagram grid.

The brief.
MM Projects was founded in 2020 by Max Torsellini and Matthew Miller. They build renovations, extensions, new homes, heritage restorations, custom joinery, decks and hospitality fit-outs across Sydney, with selected work in the Northern Rivers and South East Queensland. Until now the business had lived almost entirely on Instagram.
They needed a site that would turn a local search into an enquiry: one that explains what they build and where, shows real finished work, and gets across what makes them different from bigger builders. That means a director on every job, fixed-price contracts, and a photo update every Friday.
Built like they build.
The design direction is calm and architectural: plenty of white space, a crisp expanded grotesque for headings, and one confident construction orange used sparingly for actions. The project photography carries the page, so the interface stays quiet around it.
What went into it
- Six service cards, each written around the questions homeowners actually ask, like whether they can stay in the house during the build
- A filterable projects portfolio with a detail view for every job, from the heritage-listed carport in Vaucluse to hospitality fit-outs on trading sites
- A “small team, on the tools” company story, with the numbers that matter up front
- Service-area maps for New South Wales and Queensland, drawn as dot-matrix coastlines
- A short enquiry form that asks for a rough idea and a suburb, nothing more
- Local SEO: titles and descriptions, GeneralContractor structured data with the NSW licence, and a custom social share image
The copy is written in the directors’ own plain voice. It gives specific promises instead of builder clichés, and backs them with the licence number and a written schedule of works.
