Hi, I’m Margot, a Commonwealth-registered celebrant on the Sunshine Coast. I write every ceremony from scratch. We’ll jump on a video call, you’ll tell me how it all started, and I’ll turn it into twenty minutes your guests talk about all night.
Barefoot on Sunshine Beach, under a fig in Maleny or in your parents’ backyard, I’ll handle the paperwork, keep the nerves in check and make sure it’s legal, personal and very much you. No two ceremonies I write are ever the same.

The legal bits, made simple
Getting married in Australia comes with a little paperwork. I’ll walk you through every step, but here’s the short version.
Lodge your NOIM
The Notice of Intended Marriage has to reach me at least one month, and no more than 18 months, before your date.
Bring your ID
Birth certificates or passports, plus proof if a previous marriage has ended.
Choose two witnesses
Anyone over 18 who understands what’s happening. Your best friends usually volunteer.
Say the legal words
A few required lines sit inside your ceremony. Everything else is yours to write.
Sign and celebrate
I lodge your paperwork with the Queensland Registry within 14 days. Then you can order your official certificate.

How far ahead should we book?
Spring and autumn Saturdays usually book about a year ahead. Weekdays, Fridays and Sundays often have room at shorter notice, so check your date above.
Do you travel?
Anywhere from Noosa to Caloundra and up into the hinterland is included. Further afield, like Brisbane or K’gari, is welcome too, with a small travel fee.
Can we write our own vows?
Absolutely. I’ll send you prompts and examples, read your drafts and help you land them, or write them with you if you’d rather.
Do you marry same-sex couples?
Of course. Every couple is welcome, and every ceremony is written around you, your words and your people.
What happens if it rains?
We plan a wet-weather option at our final catch-up, so there’s nothing to decide on the day. I bring a waterproof folder and a calm head.
How do we get our marriage certificate?
I lodge your paperwork with the Queensland Registry within 14 days of the ceremony. You can then order your official certificate online.
How much does a ceremony cost?
It depends on your date, location and the package you choose. Enquire with your details and I’ll send my full price guide within a day.
