1920s semi, still on ceramic fuses with a single light circuit for the whole house. Replaced with an 18-pole board, all circuits on RCBOs, and split the lights in two.

Do you charge a call-out fee?
Yes, $99 during business hours, which covers travel and the first 30 minutes on site. If you go ahead with a quoted job, the call-out comes off the final price. Quotes for planned work like switchboards and EV chargers are free.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Ferrule Electrical holds NSW contractor licence Lic. No. 000000C and carries $20 million public liability. Every job that needs one gets a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW), lodged for you.
How fast can you get here in an emergency?
Within the Eastern Suburbs we're usually on site in under an hour, day or night. If it's dangerous right now, turn off the main switch if you safely can, stay clear, and call us on 0400 000 000.
Do my smoke alarms need upgrading?
NSW law requires working smoke alarms on every level of a home, and landlords must check them every year. We test, replace and hardwire alarms, and can interconnect them so one going off sets off the rest.
Can I get an EV charger in an apartment?
Usually, yes. We check the building's supply, talk to your strata manager and give them the technical details they need to approve it.
